Quick Safety Tips for Essential Oils

by Liz

Young Living essential oils are very concentrated so you can dilute them with a fatty carrier oil like coconut or olive oil. This is especially wise for application on children.

Be careful not to apply oils to sensitive areas like the genitalia (do I really need to say that?), the eyes, ears and nose.

If you do ACCIDENTALLY get oils in a sensitive area, remember what your momma taught you "oils and water do not mix". That means rinsing with water will not help at all. You must rinse, or dilute with a fatty carrier oil. I keep carrier oil with me at all times.

I once got peppermint oil in my eye because I rubbed my eye after applying the oil to my forehead. OOPS.
